What to Expect at Your First Sleep Clinic Appointment

You will meet with a Sleep Clinician, who will take a detailed history of your sleep difficulties and conduct a thorough assessment of your physical and mental health.

You will be referred for blood tests to check for any underlying physical health conditions.

Your pre-assessment questionnaires will be reviewed and discussed.

You will receive a sleep diary to track your sleep patterns and daily activities.

You may be given an actigraph (a wearable device) to monitor your sleep and activity levels.

A follow-up appointment will be scheduled to review your progress:
• You will submit your sleep diary and, if applicable, your actigraph data for review.
• Your sleep patterns and activity levels will be analyzed.
• Based on the findings, you may be referred for sleep therapy or further evaluation.
